Day paddles go to Pictured Rocks (B) or Grand Island (A). Your guide will decide the location considering weather forecast and group ability. Weather conditions such as lightening, big waves and strong winds may cause the guide to postpone or cancel a trip. 

Please note that rain, fog or cold weather does not cancel a trip. Customers find paddling in the rain more pleasurable then they thought, since they are well protected from the elements by the kayak, wetsuit, lifejacket, spray skirt, rain jacket and hat. 

Challenging conditions may only be temporary and not worth canceling the paddle. Although the exact location of the paddle cannot be predetermined, beautiful scenery commonly includes -- impressive colorful rock cliffs, sea caves, sea arches, waterfalls, incredibly clear water and beautiful beaches. Other highlights may include shipwrecks and lighthouses.

A training session provides the necessary skills for you to safely enjoy the day kayaking with your guide. This trip is for folks who want to experience the unique feeling of gliding on the water in a sea kayak along spectacular Lake Superior scenery.
